Flooring is the surface you see and feel every day. It also reveals the worst sins of every other trade — out-of-square walls, sloping subfloors, mistransitioned thresholds. Done well, it ties the house together. Done poorly, it never stops bothering you.
What we handle
- Hardwood — install — Site-finished, prefinished, engineered. Properly acclimated, level subfloor, real fasteners.
- Hardwood — refinish — Sand, stain, finish — including dustless systems and oil-based options.
- Engineered & LVP — For slabs, basements, high-moisture areas. Glue-down or floating as the substrate calls for.
- Tile — Large-format, mosaic, herringbone, hex — set on properly prepped backer.
- Stone & natural materials — Marble, travertine, slate. Sealed and finished to last.
- Subfloor preparation — Leveling, replacement of soft spots, moisture barriers — the work that makes flooring last.
- Transitions & thresholds — Properly milled transitions between materials. No 1/4-round band-aids.
- Carpet (when called for) — Wool, nylon — installed over proper pad with stretch-and-tuck.
Your contractor
Flooring is a craft. Brian has been doing it for 30 years.
Hardwood that has been laid badly will show it forever — gaps in winter, cupping in summer, a transition that sticks up a thirty-second of an inch. Brian’s installers acclimate the wood, level the subfloor, set the moisture barrier, and work in the right direction across the room. The same goes for tile: the prep is everything. You walk into the finished room and feel a difference you can’t quite name. That’s the prep.
