Stone is the oldest building material we still use. Done right, it lasts forever. Done wrong — wrong joints, wrong stone for the substrate, wrong drainage — it stains, cracks, and falls off the wall.

- Flagstone patios & walkways — Sand-set or mortared, slope to drain, proper base preparation.
- Outdoor fireplaces & fire pits — Built to code with proper firebox, flue, and clearances.
- Stone columns & pillars — Free-standing or load-bearing, with proper footings.
- Chimneys — Repair, rebuild, or new construction. Caps, flashing, crown work.
- Pavers — Driveways and patios with proper base, edge restraint, and joint sand.
Your contractor
Stone looks easy. It is not.
Most “stone” you see on new houses is veneer over a moisture barrier — and most of it is installed without the proper drainage detail at the base. In ten years it spalls, stains, and starts to come off. Brian uses masons who set stone the way it was set before veneer existed: with weep holes, drainage planes, and joints that breathe. The stone reads as masonry, not as a sticker on the wall.
